Willow trip to Shimpling Park Farm
Willow class had an excellent trip to Shimpling Park Farm. We came away with lots of new knowledge about how an arable farm runs and the important part it plays in feeding the country. Over the day we acted out what happens to a seed, saw lots of machinery and learnt how it was used and we even milled some flour! We ended the day by going on a scavenger hunt in the orchard and doing some meditation.
“I was surprised how big the tractors and combines were.” Alfee“I really enjoyed the scavenger hunt in the orchard.” Oscar“I liked seeing the lambs and we learnt that they use them to help fertilise the fields.” Ella
